    Charlotte: The Queen City

The Queen City. A world-class city. North Carolina’s largest city. It doesn’t matter which moniker you use, everyone knows you’re talking about Charlotte. The city is a dichotomy of the old and new. The second-largest financial center in the U.S., Charlotte is proud of her soaring skyscrapers and beautifully quaint, tree-lined neighborhoods. Named in honor of Queen Charlotte, wife of King George of England, and chartered in 1768, Charlotte is older than the United States. British General Cornwallis called Charlotte a “hornet’s nest of rebellion” in 1780. Ever since rail connections first linked Charlotte to global markets in the 1850s, the city has never seen a decade without population growth. From about 3,500 people at the close of the Civil War in 1865, the city’s population today exceeds 872,000. September 7-9, 2021 $1,232 / guest (double occupancy) | $1,392 / guest (single occupancy) Limited to 30 guests. Be sure to sign up early to secure your spot! Learn More and Book Online
