Charlotte: The Queen City
Join us in Charlotte for an experience packed with culture, sports, and natural beauty! This two day, one night tour’s exceptional offerings include a visit to the Charlotte Motor Speedway, a tour of Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers, plus special dining experiences and luxurious lodging for an interesting, relaxing, and entertaining get away. Day two includes visits to the peaceful sanctuary of Wing Haven Gardens and an exclusive guided tour of the North Carolina Zoo as we make our way home to Raleigh by way of Asheboro.

Year-round, the Triangle region boasts nationally-acclaimed and world-renowned gardens that provide a delightful introduction to the rich botanical history of North Carolina. Join Visit NC Concierge for a half- or full-day experience at one of the following area gardens:
J.C. Raulston Arboretum – a biodiverse living laboratory spanning ten and a half beautiful acres on the campus of North Carolina State University;
North Carolina Botanical Garden – the premier university-affiliated conservation garden in the United States, located on the beautiful campus of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Sarah P. Duke Gardens – a living collection that promotes the vital connections between people and plants. Located in the heart of the Duke University campus, the Sarah P. Duke Gardens are known world-wide for horticultural excellence, environmental awareness, and sustainable practices.
Full day tours include luncheon at Iris Cafe inside the North Carolina Museum of Art and time to explore the museum’s permanent collection and special exhibits, as well as its 164 acre Museum Park, the largest museum art park in the country.

Raleigh: Historic & Innovative
Join us for a half day immersion experience into the history and dynamic entrepreneurial synergy that defines North Carolina’s capital city. A driving tour of the city’s core will provide the framework for our exploration of state sites, educational institutions, and a thriving innovative business community. Stops include the State Capitol, area colleges and universities, and one of downtown’s coworking spaces where the whole concept of “the office” is being redefined. This 4-hour tour around North Carolina’s Capital City will inspire and invigorate you, whetting your appetite for more!

The ‘Grande Dame’ of Blount Street
Since the late 19th century, the North Carolina Governor’s Mansion has been one of the finest examples of Queen Ann Victorian architecture in the state. Known as “The Grande Dame of Blount Street,” the building’s construction incorporates native materials: bricks molded from Wake County red clay; oak and heart pine; sandstone and marble. Inside, more than 35,000 square feet of space house art, antique furnishings, and many beautiful architectural features. This half-day tour takes you to the Executive Mansion and includes a tour of its gardens (if available on your tour day), as well as a driving tour of the NCSU and Meredith College campuses, the NCSU School of Veterinary Medicine, and time permitting, a visit to one of downtown’s co-working spaces where the whole concept of “the office” is being redefined.

North Carolina: A Royal Colony
Travel east to New Bern, North Carolina’s colonial capital, and see “where American independence took root and the state of North Carolina was born.” Visit the North Carolina History Center; have lunch at Lawson’s Landing; and see the state’s royal colonial history come alive through costumed interpreters during a tour of Tryon Palace. Take time to visit the Tryon Palace gardens and additional historical buildings associated with the site before boarding our deluxe motorcoach for the return trip to Raleigh.
